EPPY VEHICLE SHARING

AVAILABLE SHARING OPTIONS: INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CLIENT:

THE AIM OF THIS DOCUMENT: to inform the client about registering with the car-share service, how to start a rental session, how to get on the road, how to charge the vehicle, how to stop the car during the rental period, and how to conclude a rental period.

Instructions are subject to modification and change. Management will endeavour to inform the client via email in the relevant section of t www.eppycar.it website and via the Mobile App.

The instructions for the client are an integral part of the Framework Contract.

Detailed Instructions

Eppy Vehicle sharing is a way of sharing cars, vans and quadricycles.

1.    REGISTERING TO USE THE SHARING SERVICE: register via the www.eppycar.it website or via the mobile App. Just go through the form and fill in the boxes with the relevant information. Register is necessary to be able to  make use of the vehicles.

         In order to be able to complete registration, have to hand:

1.1.1.a valid email address

1.1.2.a valid driving license or an international driving permit

1.1.3.a credit card, also a rechargeable one is acceptable

1.2. Once registered, clients receive a temporary password via email.

1.3. The email address and password will allow access to the car-share services provided by Mobile App Eppy or the www.eppycar.it website.

1.4. As last step fot being allowed to use the service you must send us the front/back picture of your driving license. You can do it by email to info@eppycar.it writing as object "confirm activation".


2.    USE OF THE CAR-SHARE SERVICE: use of the car-share service must take place via the Mobile App which is available for Android and IOS. Once the credentials obtained during registration have been inserted, access to a map is granted showing where the available vehicles can be found grouped according to type.

2.1.Decide on the type of car you want

2.1.1.Select the relevant vehicle on the Mobile App map.

2.1.2.press the icon of the vehicle of your choice to access information such as permitted distance and number plate.

2.2.Access your vehicle – opening your rental session:

        Access your vehicle by doing the following:

        
               2.2.1.Without a reservation: that’s to say when you have arrived at the vehicle, use the ‘START RENTAL’ command button. This activates a QRCODE reader that you need to position onto the adhesive mat attached to the windscreen, or the rear window of the vehicle. Alternatively, begin the rental by using the optional command button that invites you to ‘INSERT NUMBER PLATE’ which is found at the foot of the QRCODE screen. When  one of these two options has been executed, the car can be opened and the RENTAL SESSION  IS    UNDERWAY.

2.2.2     2.2.2. When a chosen vehicle has benn reserved: in this case, the vehicle remains blocket for 15 minutes, at wich poin the reservation expires automatically and you will not be charged. If the reservation is still active, the client has to use the command "Begin Rental" in order to gain access to the vehicle, and then follow the instructions for letters c.i.

              2.3.   In order to cancel a reservation: press the command button ‘CANCEL RESERVATION’

    
      2.4.  In order to activate the rental session: The ‘BEGIN RENTAL’ command opens the doors and thereby the RENTAL SESSION is underway. On the Mobile App, the screen with the words “RENTAL UNDERWAY” appears.

      2.5. To get on the road: to get driving, follow the instructions below:

2.5.1.Take the key from the glovebox and insert it below the air-conditioning display buttons.

2.5.2.Press the START/STOP buttons to the right of the steering wheel, on the display see the word READY

2.5.3.Press the brake pedal

2.5.4.Position the gearstick onto the ‘D’ or on the ‘R’ if you need to reverse

2.5.5.Lower the hand brake

2.5.6.Set off

2.6. To stop: to stop follow the instructions below:

2.6.1.Find a suitable place to pull over

2.6.2.Press the foot brake

2.6.3.Position the gear stick onto the letter “P”

2.6.4. Activate the hand brake

2.6.5.Press the START/STOP button to the right of the steering wheel, on the display the word READY disappears.

2.7. Intermediary stop – close session. Once the car has come to a standstill it is possible:


      2.7.1. To have a temporary break whilst remaining in possession of the car with the rental session remaining active. In this case you must:

2.7.1.1.Bring the vehicle to a standstill as described in letter g.

2.7.1.2.Alight from the vehicle making sure to take the electronic key with you

2.7.1.3.lock the doors using the electronic key

2.7.1.4.When the break is over, open the doors using the electronic key and depart according to the instructions in letter f.

2.7.2.Deposit the car and close down the rental session. In this case you must:

2.7.2.1.stop the vehicle as described in letter g.

2.7.2.2.replace the electronic key back in the glove box

2.7.2.3.Be sure to be in a DROPPING ZONE

2.7.2.4.Terminate your session using the button ‘END RENTAL SESSION’ that appears on the Rental Underway screen. This activates a QRCODE reader that needs to be positioned on the sticky mat on the windscreen or the ear-view window of the vehicle. Alternatively, the session can be terminated using the command button ‘INSERT NUMBER PLATE” located at the foot of the QRCODE reader screen. Once one of these two commands have been completed, the vehicle shuts and so does your ‘RENTAL SESSION’.

3.SET DOWN AREAS: the closure of the ‘RENTAL SESSION’ can only happen in the ‘SET DOWN AREAS’ highlighted in blue on the Mobile App map. Before setting off, make sure that your destination is in one of these areas to be able to terminate your rental session. Please pay attention to the following WARNINGS:

3.1.Before returning your vehicle after closing down your session, activate the command button ‘SEE ON MAP’ to verify that you’re in a DELIVERY AREA.

3.2.It is not possible to return the vehicle and close down your session outside of the DELIVERY AREAS

3.3.In order to stop outside of a DELIVERY AREA, use the INTERMEDIARY STOP options, by using the electronic key to lock the vehicle.

3.4.Stopping outside of the DELIVERY AREAS does not interrupt the RENTAL SESSION.

4.WHEN THE CLIENT NEEDS TO CHARGE THE ELECTRIC CAR: the client can charge the vehicle by using one of the charging stations on the EPPY circuit. Charging the car before closing down a session can lead to a bonus in terms of minutes on the next rental session, according to certain terms and conditions.

To charge the car please be aware of the following WARNINGS (visible on the inside of the vehicle by means of appropriate information):

1)    REACH THE VICINITY OF A CHARGING STATION ON THE EPPY CIRCUIT AS SHOWN ON THE MAP

2)THE CHARGING STATION HAS TWO PLUGS. EACH PLUG HAS A CORRESPONDING COLOURED LIGHT INDICATOR

-GREEN: CHARGING AVAILABLE HERE

      -RED: CHARGNING UNAVAILABLE

WE RECOMMEND YOU RETURN YOUR VEHICLE WHERE YOU SEE THE GREEN INDICATOR

3)    OPEN UP THE CHARGING PLUG WHICH IS FOUND BELOW THE DRIVER’S AREA, AT THE HEIGHT OF THE RIGHT KNEE. CALL FOR ASSISTANCE IF YOU CAN’T FIND THE APPROPRIATE OPENING.

4)    TAKE THE ELECTRONIC KEY WHICH ALSO HAS THE EPPY PASS THAT ACTIVATES THE CHARGING STATION ATTACHED

5)    POSTION YOUR EPPY PASS ON THE READER RFID POSTITIONED ON THE SIDE OF THE CHARGING STATION TO RELEASE AND REMOVE THE FILLER FROM ITS INACTIVE POSITION. IF IT FAILS TO ACTIVATE, SEEK ASSISTANCE

6)    INSERT THE NOZZLE OF THE FILLER CABLE UNTIL IT CAN GO NO FURTHER AND MAKE SURE THAT THE SIGNAL ON THE CHARGING STATION SHOWS A BLUE LIGHT

-BLUE: THE CHARGING CABLE IS INSERTED CORRECTLY

5. WHEN THE CLIENT WANTS TO REALEASE AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE: clients are able to take a charging vehicle where the Mobile App signals availability. In order to stop charging and make it available, be aware of the following WARNINGS (visible on the inside of the vehicle through the appropriate information):

5.1.1.THE CHARGING STATION HAS TWO PLUGS. EACH ONE HAS A CORRESPONDING LIGHT SIGNAL

    GREEN OR BLUE: THE VEHICLE MAY BE TAKEN

    RED: THE VEHICLE MAY NOT BE TAKEN

5.1.2.BEGIN THE RENTAL SESSION USING THE APP, SO THE DOORS CAN BE OPENED

5.1.3.TAKE THE EPPY BADGE FROM THE GLOVE BOX WHICH HAS THE ELECTRONIC KEY ATTACHED AND PLACE IT ON THE BADGE READER ON THE SIDE OF THE CHARGING STATION, SO THAT IT WILL RELEASE THE FILLER ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE PLUG

5.1.4.TAKE THE FILLER NOZZLE AND INSERT IT INTO THE PLUG LOCATED ON THE SIDE OF THE CHARGING STATION MAKING SURE IT IS INSERTED AS FAR AS POSSIBLE

5.1.5.CLOSE THE FLAP OVER THE RECHARGING PLUG

5.1.6.SET OFF

6.FREE STOP AND CROSSING INTO RESTRICTED TRAFFIC ZONES (ZTL)

6.1.  Stopping is free in the blue areas which fall into the Latina area, and in other areas which adhere to the terms and conditions stipulated in the rates.

6.2.Crossing into Restricted Traffic Zones (ZTL) is permitted within the Latina area

6.3.You may not cross into pedestrian areas
